KidneyPro is designed around a simple principle: private submissions stay private unless you clearly authorize appropriate public use, subject to legal and operational requirements.

We collect less because less can be safer.
KidneyPro asks people to share only information reasonably needed for the purpose they choose. We do not ask story contributors to submit Social Security numbers, government identification, insurance cards or complete medical records through the public story form.
Publication rule
Private review is not publication permission.
Written stories, names, photographs and videos are not intended for public display unless the person provides the applicable permission.

Responding to you
If you allow contact, information may be used to respond to your inquiry or story submission.
Private review
Story and media submissions may be reviewed by authorized KidneyPro personnel for support, moderation and publication decisions.
Publication only with permission
Story text, identity and media are treated as separate publication choices rather than one blanket consent.
Important privacy limits
KidneyPro should not promise absolute secrecy or anonymity. Information may need to be retained, processed or disclosed to service providers or when required by law, security needs or legal process. Payment processors may also collect information required to complete donations.
KidneyPro is not describing itself as a HIPAA-covered healthcare provider merely because visitors may submit health-related information. If KidneyPro’s legal role or data practices change, this policy should be updated accordingly.
Security note: No website or electronic storage system can guarantee perfect security. KidneyPro should use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards and limit access to people who need it for legitimate organizational purposes.
Your choices
- Submit a story for private review without approving publication.
- Choose anonymous, initials, first name or full name for any approved story.
- Approve story text without approving photographs or video.
- Approve selected media without making private contact details public.
- Contact KidneyPro with privacy questions or requests concerning a submission.
